The educational history of Gujrat is marvellous. The Zamindar Educational Association established a high school in 1921 and Zamindar College in 1937. The college attracted the students from the districts of Attock, Jhelum, Mianwali and Sargodha, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). For this reason, Gujrat was declared as the Khita-e-Yunan ((part of Greece) of Punjab.

Kerala (DLN): Ruling LDF got a setback in Kerala Elections. The Opposition extracted the Kochi municipality after a period of 30 years of LDF rule. They also bring good show in other urban and rural centers. Lets see will they carry the momentum to the assembly elections? The Congress-led UDF camp in the state of Kerala is jubilant after they confined many LDF bastions in cities, towns and villages there. The UDF also claimed Thrissur.KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala said “Despite all odds for the first time in Kerala’s history we have come out with thumping majority. This is a clear verdict by the people against the misrule of the LDF government”.
LDF suffered a fall as it reached at high in 2005 elections. Kochi has come as a big blow as the Left held the corporation for 30 years.
State Education /minister said “It is evenly poised. Yes the UDF has had some unexpected victories. We will have a thorough analysis as to what went wrong”.
