INDIAN RESULTS

Kerala 2011 is the most literate State in India. Kerala achieved the highest literacy rate of 90.92% among the states in India. In which female literacy rate of 87.86% and a male literacy rate of 94.20% in 2001.In the sector of education in Kerala the accent is on improving quality. In higher education the available infrastructure is being optimally used through new job oriented courses.
The pre-degree courses had to be segregrated from University education to bring them under the ambit of authority of the Directorate. This had been done in a phased manner and the entire process of de-linking was completed in 2000-2001. Dearth of manpower and meagre infrastructure facilities have been the serious maladies tormenting the department right from its inception.
