INDIAN RESULTS

The Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Friday announced the results of Higher Secondary Certificate Part-II (Humanities group, regular/private) annual examinations, 2007. According to the announcement, Uzma Shah Shirazi of the Government Nazareth Girls College, Hyderabad, Mehtab of the Government Higher Secondary School, Daur, and Shamim Akhtar secured first, second and third positions, respectively, among the girl students.
Amanullah and Abdullah, both students of the Government Degree College, Tando Muhammad Khan, clinched first and second positions, respectively, among boys with Abdul Qudoos of the Shah Waliullah Oriental Government College, Mansoorah, Muhammad Asif Khan of the Government Higher Secondary School, Chhamber, and Syed Ghulam Ali Shah of the Government High Secondary School, Sanna, jointly securing the third position.
About 4,798 regular and 2,957 private candidates appeared in the examinations but no candidate could secure A-1 grade. Three regular and eight private candidates obtained A grade.
